I have cropped, brightened, and increased the contrast of IMG_2302 in order to make
it easier for people to see the chevrons on the upper flanks (above the joint of the
leading leg), the arrowhead marks on the sides of the vent area (above the trailing
leg), the colors of the edges of the mantle feathers, and the shape and edge colors
of the tail.
Note also the thick-necked and hunchbacked appearance in spite of pleasant weather,
reduced streaking in center of breast, obvious eye ring, widened supercilium, and
limited view of tibia.
